50917 observation day at KKHS

The following are the notes I made about One Drive while attending this morning’s TECHIE BREKKIE:-
Today’s PD was on One Drive, a software package that is stored in the cloud providing security and accessibility for teachers and students. The cloud has recently moved from Singapore to outside Melbourne. Within the school’s system there are many drives you can use to store documents however the One Drive is the only one that students can access if they are not at school and want to submit some work.
The elusive ellipses are a weakness as they are not displayed until you hover over them. Three small dots placed vertically form what is known as “the ellipses”.
You can pin any important documents.
Recent can be used to see any recent activity. Students can submit their work and you will see it appear.
Share function. Can set an expiration date to lock off a document.
Clean up "share with me" by using "remove from shared list.
This was my first experience using One Drive.

Faye came and did my observation this morning while I was teaching 9BRD. All went well and Faye gave me a lot of positive feedback plus hints on completing assignment 2. Another milestone achieved.
